Sweet little wanderer,
You are stronger than you know, trust in yourself. But don’t forget it’s okay to fall down. You’ll get up again, you always do. I wish you wouldn’t try so hard to please others, it’s not worth the self denial and shame you’ll feel from pretending to be someone you don’t believe in. Never put someone’s feelings before your own if they are hurting you. Don’t close your heart up. There’s a wide wide world out there full of people who won’t judge and hurt you.
Spend less time dreaming of who you’ll be tomorrow, love who you are today. When you look back you’ll be proud of who you are, and your only regret will be all the time you wished away. Embrace your freckles, love your pale skin. Dress how you like. Try new things. Don’t take yourself so seriously. You’ll be fed lies about what it means to be a woman. Don’t listen to them. Be strong. Be brave. Be as girly or boyish as you want. Form your own opinions. Your worth is not based on your gender or appearance.
Take more risks, you live too safety. The sweetness of success is measured by amount of uncertainty involved. Don’t steal joy away from yourself by taking the easy road. You can and will succeed if you just try.
Run quicker from trouble, and hold tighter to beauty.
I love you, little self

This inspirational reminder was good for me!! It is so easy to forget about the love I need for myself as I rush about caring for others. Even Jesus said we can’t love others if we don’t love ourselves. Many hugs to you my sweet Katie girl!!
